Cambria Steakhouse & Pub closed; Morro Rock deli is open–that visit went kinda poorly; Is Morro Bay deli even open? Morro Deli is closed; Maya Morro Bay is becoming another El Guero; Luigie’s Pizza is open in Cambria; Bistro Deville is opening in Old Nipomo; Bodegas Los Alamos is gone–Predite moved over there; Lure Fish House is open; Rod & Hammer at The Carrisa Hotel is open again (check schedule); Kreuzberg is open in Duncan’s Alley–LOTS of things open in Duncan’s Alley but no real food yet–not sure ANY food is planned; Brasserie SLO becomes The Oak Grill; Public Market Watch: Still haven’t been to Piexies; Not sure what Bishop’s Market is (old Kreuzberg?) or Brass Bow, and I heard a rumor someone we all know moved into the candy shop in the far back. Farmhouse Wine not open yet; Grape & Grain not open yet (both stupid close); Babydudes wins an award for best winelist with most boring menu; Grinning Bear is opening brick & mortar in Shell; Chez Nanigans in SM is close; The old MB Visitor’s Center was supposed to be a new winebar but now has a For Lease sign on it for “Restaurant space” haha; Scout Coffee headquarters is open and PACKED regularly–I kind a actually kinda feel sorry for the surrounding mom & pop coffee shops: Top Dog, Daisy’s, etc…. Gave El Viejon their third chance and third strike. Went to La Katrina and pissed off all the people who love this kind of “food”. Oh and West End Grille in Cambria is amazing and I might just have to visit Brightside Pizza again.
