AVANT, the restaurant at Terravant Wine Company in Buellton added at ♦♦ as I was pleasantly surprised. The wine service and selection is outstanding and the food slightly above average. There is a decided *almost-cafeteria* sorta feel but they pull it off in lovely fashion. Looking forward to visiting again. Above-average service.
NIYA RESTAURANT in Orcutt added at ♦♦♦ No small achievement and they deserve all of it. So much beyond sushi. The entrees prepared in a more European style of cuisine are absolutely top notch in integration and presentation, and the dishes prepared with raw fish show insight and elegance. Outstanding service.
